Window Signage Options To Boost Storefront Curb Appeal

Window Graphic Options That Create Curb Appeal

We’ve all heard the saying, “If you want to sell your home, improve its curb appeal!”.

The same idea applies for retail store windows and selling the products inside. If you want to attract shoppers, make sure your storefront is visually appealing.

Remember, this is your chance to make a first impression with shoppers and start the buying process. Below are some great window signage options to help boost retail curb appeal and bring more foot traffic inside your store.

window decals outdoor signage

Outdoor Window Decals

Glass is the perfect surface for signage that sticks. Outdoor Window Vinyl can undoubtedly transform the look of a storefront. Because these vinyl decals have a peel off liners that reveal an adhesive backing, they can withstand outdoor elements. They are also easy to install.

Indoor Window Clings

Sometimes window signage needs to be applied inside the store facing the street. In this case we recommend Indoor Window Clings. This media does not have an adhesive backing, it relies on static cling. Because of this, clings should not be applied outdoors. Indoor clings are often used with other forms of signage to create a layered 3-D effect when looking into the store window. Also easy to install.

5 Tips for Counter Signage in Small Spaces

Small spaces like counter tops have big potential for signage!

Making a visual impact in a small space such as a retail counter tops and display cases can be a challange. Just like the perfect accessory, even if its a small one, can make an outfit, the right signage can improve the your visual presence and attract shoppers to your brand. Below are 5 tips to create powerful signage for small counter tops and product showcases.

Kurve Counter Sign

“To get the most visual impact from signage in a small space, you don’t always need more room, you just need to be smart with the space you have.”

#1. Choose Hardware with a Finished Look- prevent counter top signage from looking like clutter by choosing frame hardware with a clean finish. Frames made of clear or transparent material virtually disappear, letting the graphic print attract the attention. Great examples are the Kurve and Bevel Edge Frame. Both frames are made of clear acyrilic and have minimal hardware to keep the graphic in place. Counter cards are also a sleek solution as the stand is also minimal.

Adhesive Vinyl, Restick, and Cling material can all be used to make a statement on an otherwise unused surface. These materials can also be contour cut into an infinant variety of unexpected shapes and patterns.

Perforated Window Vinyl Printing and Installation

Perforated Vinyl is Perfect For Window Signs!

Retail storefronts can undoubtedly grab consumer attention with the right window signage. Proof of this can be seen at Carat N Karat in Flushing, NY, where we recently applied Perforated Vinyl to the storefront window for Tiffany Watch .

Perforated Vinyl is an excellent print solution for outdoor windows because it doesn’t inhibit viewing out from the inside. We call this perforated media ‘Invisa-View‘ and it is available in virtually any size.

As you can see from the photos below, full-color Perforated Vinyl  (Invisa-View) such as these can make quite an impact without restricting the view from inside the store!

Perforated Window Vinyl in Action

Perforated Vinyl has become increasingly popular for storefront windows. We named this product “Invisa-View“ because it captures the essence of the media. The 65/35 perforated pattern means that 65% of the vinyl media has surface to print and 35% is tiny holes. There is enough print surface to carry outstanding image resolution and color reproduction, but the tiny holes give off a ‘see through’ invisible appearance, particularly from behind.

Viewing from behind, the window will appear tinted but will not lose visibility. From the outside, the image appears solid with a slight opacity depending on the lighting.

Perforated Vinyl Mesh Storefront The Invisa-View is shipped in a tube along with all of the tools and instructions needed for installation. The media backing peels off to expose an adhesive back that should be applied to a smooth, clear, and clean surface for optimum results.

The Duratran Company offers printing and installation of Perforated Vinyl aka Invisa-View across the entire nation. Please call us at 1-800-962-3119 if you have any questions!
